Boys Team Places 2nd Behind Neuqua Valley

The tomcats had a successful outting during Illinois cross country conference weekend. They placed 2nd overall in the Upstate Eight Conference Valley Division right behind state ranked Neuqua Valley. Leading the away for East was David Galvan, who placed 11th overall with a time of 15:29.4. Behind him was a tight pack made up of Jose Alvarado (19th), Christian Castro(22nd), Ruben Nino (24th), and Felipe Nino (25th). This performance made team history by having 5 runners earning all conference honers and having the best team finish in recent history.  Stephanie Nino lead the way for the varsity girls squad placing 52nd overall with a time of 19:51.2 and the team placed 6th overall. Great Job Tomcats!
